British authorities have recently extradited to Hungary a Briton suspected of running a drug business in Budapest earlier, national police reported. According to charges, the 45-year-old man produced drugs in a lab in northern Budapest between 2010 and 2012, the police said on its website. The suspect mailed the drugs to clients mostly in the United States and Australia.

Metro Cars On Budapest’s Line 3 To Undergo Renovation

The Sovet-built carriages running on Budapest’s metro line 3 will be almost unrecongisable after their planned renovation is completed. The cars will get a new driver’s compartment, a new front end, colour and doors, the business daily Napi Gazdaság has reported.

It was reported that a suspected illegal migrant was killed on Wednesday morning in a road accident on the M5 motorway near Hungary’s border with Serbia. A police spokesman for Csongrád County said that a petrol station near the border station at Röszke was the site of an inspection by officers at around 6am.

Central Budapest’s Nyugati pályaudvar railway station has reopened after a two-week maintenance period in the early hours of Monday, meaning that passenger trains are again serving the station according to regular schedules. Most of the station has been opened to passengers, although there are still obstacles to pedestrian traffic on the building’s side towards the WestEnd shopping mall.
