Passers-by and tourists in Budapest were treated to an impressive sight on Sunday: a surging crowd of 4,500 runners dressed in red and sporting white beards created a magical Christmas atmosphere on Fővám Square and along the banks of the Danube.

The charity fun run celebrated its 21st year of the event, an idea imported from a similar event in the USA. The participants stripped off to red swimsuits and Santa hats.
