Hungarian Mathematician Awarded Abel Prize

Hungarian mathematician Endre Szemerédi received the Abel Prize, the highest distinction that a mathematician may receive, from Norwegian King Harald V in Oslo on Tuesday. Harald called Szemerédi a “prince” of present-day mathematics. The prize comes with a cash award of six million Norwegian kroner (Ft 238 million).

Janos Ader was born in Csorna, Gyor county on May 9, 1959. He completed Revai Miklos Grammar School in Gyor in 1977, and obtained a law degree at ELTE faculty of law in 1983. For a year he worked as a law clerk on a city council and from 1986 to 1990 he worked at the Sociology Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

From the beginning of the summer, passengers will be able to travel to Lyon, the second largest city in France, and the surrounding region. The flight will be operated by a carrier that is new to Budapest Airport, Brit Air – a subsidiary of Air France.
