OFF-Biennale Budapest is Hungary’s largest independent contemporary art event, a sort of umbrella project under which other individual events are organised. The Sixth District, the Hungarian Artists Federation and the Hungarian State Opera will stage a free season-opening street performance on September 9. Worth noting is that Andrássy út will be closed to traffic for the performance, set to begin at 1 p.m.

The fourth Food Truck Show, is held in Budapest between 1 – 3 September at Kincsem Park racetrack. On the offer: burgers, sausages, vegan bites, cold beer, and many other street-food treats await visitors. 52 buffet cars will be providing more than 200 kinds of food.

From the organisers: We are a collective of creative people. We have created a new event where everyone is welcome. We will be holding a market on the Danube, at A38 ship. Local up-and-coming designers and artisans will be showing off their creations, for you to browse through and discover. There will also be a rummage area, where you can discover nicely priced objects and items.

Balaton Sound, the 5-day non-stop music festival held on the beach of Lake Balaton between 2 - 9 July, offers more than 20 on-site venues. The line-up of nternational artists this year includes acts such as Kygo, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Axwell Ingrosso, Tiësto, Marshmello.

A real international crafts festival, the Festival of Folk arts will welcome its guests for the 30th time between the 18th and the 21st of August. Being true to the tradition, the venue remains the Buda Castle and its surroundings, however due to building works in the Castle there will be a few changes.
