Hungary’s hopes lie in a strong European Union, as the country can only be successful in a strong EU, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said in an interview published in the Saturday issue of Austrian daily Die Presse. But in order for the EU to be strong, it must regain its competitiveness, be capable of protecting itself and leave behind political correctness, Szijjártó said.

Thanks to everyone who came and supported, especially British Ambassador Iain Lindsay OBE for warmly encouraging guests to "dig deep", together we raised HUF 4.236 million.
This is a record fundraising result for XpatLoop's annual bonfire party, with 250 guests uniting for charity. Her Majesty's Ambassador to Hungary wrote afterwards: "Really enjoyed it, very good event." Read on for more ...
Interview – Orbán Hopes Referendum Ensures “Strong Sword” Against Brussels

Hungary’s upcoming quota referendum will determine “how strong a sword voters can forge” to use in their fight against “Brussels bureaucrats”, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in an interview to news portal Origo on Thursday. In his interview, Orbán said should the European Union “force upon us” mandatory migrant quotas, “it would impact each Hungarian municipality”.
