The Budapest assembly has approved a report blaming the former Socialist-liberal city leadership for irregularities highlighted by OLAF, the European anti-fraud office, in connection with construction of the capital’s fourth metro line.
Sausage Festival In Budapest, 13 - 15 October

This annual festival featuring 250 types of spiced up meat will be held at the Hungarian Railway Museum this year. As well as lots of porky specials available along several 'Sausage Streets', there will be family programs, folklore shows, 'nostalgic music programs' and dance, plus apparently presentations of enormous sausages, during this three day special Hungarian gastro event.

Sebastião Salgado photographer (born Aimorés, Brazil, 1944) following his previous long-term projects, between 2004 and 2011 made more than 30 different trips into the distant corners of the globe to capture nature in its original state. Budapest is to sign a cooperation and friendship agreement with Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria, the Municipal Assembly decided on Wednesday. The assembly, in an almost unanimous vote of approval, gave the go-ahead to Mayor István Tarlós to sign the related document.

On until 12 November. Slovakian sculptor Jozef Suchoža (1978) lives in Borsi (Borša) and teaches at the art academy of Besztercebánya (Banská Bystrica). After participating in numerous exhibitions, he is now appearing with his first large-scale solo exhibition, through which he wishes to present a summary of his oeuvre thus far.
