"English language students and their teachers are participating in a U.S. Embassy sponsored summer camp at Lake Balaton, where in addition to practicing their English skills, they are learning about each other’s countries and cultures. Visiting the camp on August 12, Ambassador Kounalakis remarked that a real strength of the camp was in facilitating communication.

Representatives of the media are welcome to accompany Ambassador Kounalakis and the Ambassador will be available to answer questions on the camp and U.S. Embassy programs that promote tolerance.

During the three day trip from 7-9 July, the delegation visited troops taking part in the EUFOR operation Althea in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Hercegovina and those supporting the NATO mission of KFOR in Kosovo.
