The Sziget Festival, held on a Danube island in Budapest, opens on Wednesday with Rihanna, the Muse and Manu Chao featuring in its line-up, the organisers said. Besides Rihanna, whose concert on Thursday has been sold out, David Guetta, the Chemical Brothers, Sia and Noel Gallagher will also bring their acts during the week-long festival.

Hungary’s economy minister has said that there is no need to hurry to adopt the euro. Unless the level of development of the country’s economy reaches the European average, the move could be detrimental, he said. The Hungarian Jászság Folk Ensemble was established in 1971. The members of the group live in Jászberény, which is a town 80 kilometers far from the Hungarian capital city, Budapest. In the beginning of the ’90s, the Csángó Festival was the first to open the doors to the minority cultures of surrounding countries.
