The Hungarian State Opera has announced its 2022/2023 thematic season titled Myth & History. The OPERA awaits the public in the renovated Ybl Palace on Andrássy Avenue with numerous new functions and services, new publications, as well as a chamber exhibition open until 28 March.

Iván Fischer celebrated his 70th birthday on January 20. To mark this happy occasion, the Budapest Festival Orchestra co-founded by him has produced a special concert compilation together with the Concertgebouworkest in Amsterdam and the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, to be aired online.

Gábor Czene of Népszabadság conducted an interview with Tamás Fabiny, bishop of the northern district of the Hungarian Lutheran Church. Fabiny was ordained in Erlangen, Germany in 1982. He also studied in the United States. In addition to his church activities he worked for Duna TV. Since 2010 he has been the vice chairman of the Lutheran World Federation.

"On March 22nd “Handler Nandor” Vocational High School hosted an event titled “America Day in Sopron”. Representing the Embassy at the day-long event were Management Counselor Paul Gilmer, the Regional English Language Officer Lisa Harshbarger, and Cultural Assistant Kati Bíró.
