Hungary’s government is temporarily suspending implementation of the EU decree on “systematic border control”, an interior ministry state secretary told MTI on Tuesday. The government decision was published in the official gazette Magyar Közlöny on Tuesday evening and it has entered into force.

Two Turkish males, a Romanian man and a Bulgarian woman died in a pile-up on Hungary’s M43 motorway near Nagylak border station, in the south-east, on Wednesday morning, local police reported. Another 15 people were injured in the crash in which two Romanian trucks, a Romanian bus, two Hungarian and two Bulgarian vans collided.
