The Bridging Europe arts festival will focus on German culture during its four-day programme starting on Sept. 10 this year. The festival organised for the second time by the Palace of Arts and the Budapest Festival Orchestra seeks to find connections between Hungarian culture and the cultures of other countries through music. The Albanian Embassy and Hungarian dignitaries unveiled a statue of Mother Teresa in Budapest on Friday to mark Day of International Charity. “Mother Teresa lived an exemplary life, she faced up the horror of poverty and hopelessness and was dedicated to serving the needy,” Zoltán Pokorni, the mayor of District 12 where the statue was erected, told the ceremony.
