Today’s young generation will pay a high price for the environmental and social disasters for which the previous generations are responsible.
Although numerous surveys show that the Y and Z generations consider climate change to be the most pressing problem of our time, not everyone gets to the point of doing something due to lack of resources, time, capacity or motivation.
But what are the psychological effects of ecosystem change on young people? What do they do with responsibility? And how much scope do they have?
In the three-solo performance we can see the struggle of three young people.
In the first solo, Júlia Gaál loses her points of reference: her doubts, her constant insecurity and the lack of support lead her into a dramatic spiral in which the ground slowly slips under her feet. There is no perspective, no way out and no future in the second solo.
This situation consumes all the patience of Eva Mora González: while she strives for ascent and take-off, she is addicted to the system; the system that manipulates her and traps her over and over again.
Frustration, fear and anxiety: in the third solo, Rebeka Petra Kiss no longer loses patience but self-control: in her struggle against domination, oppression and exploitation of both women and nature she becomes more courageous, more mature and stronger.
The question remains: will the three young people manage to get over their limits, break out of their position and take their destiny into their own hands in the hope of a better future? Are we facing utopia or dystopia?
