The journey of the two-time Phonogram Prize-winning Kerekes Band spans more than 20 years, from the sultry Moldavian dance houses of Gyimes to the big stages of world music.

During these more than two decades, they have created a sound that is unmistakable on the domestic and international world music scene.

The tempo evoking the pulsation of Moldavian music is complemented by riff-centered flute and koboz themes, also known as Ethno Funk.
