The Hungarian Dance University has been organising its Home Competition in every academic year for several decades now.

This is not only an important milestone for the professional studies of all age groups, but it also provides another opportunity for the participants to perform on stage in several categories (classical solo and group pieces, modern/contemporary dances and own choreographies).

At the gala evening, traditionally held at the National Dance Theatre, the president of the jury, a prestigious panel of Hungarian professionals, will present the awards to the winners, followed by a selection of the winning and finalist productions.

The already exciting programme will be enriched by performances by students from the university who have won prizes in prestigious competitions, giving the audience of the festive performance a glimpse of the full spectrum of dance education.
