Intended to create a festive atmosphere, one of the special events of the Advent season will be a dance theatre performance by Julcsi Paár and the Dezső Fitos Company, featuring live music, traditional and contemporary dance elements, and authentic and modern stage equipment.

The kids in the story receive a special Advent calendar as a gift, from behind the doors of which, as the night progresses, emerge characters of Advent with a specific Hungarian connection – Saint Lucy’s Day witches, shepherds, a flaming star and other iconic symbols that come to life. These unravel the thread of the story and lead the characters – and, of course, the audience with them – ever closer to the real meaning of the Christmas cycle: the birth of Light (the Saviour).

Full of anticipation, the story operates on a wide emotional scale, infusing the dance piece with poignant exaltation, humour, playfulness and basic human emotions. The music by Julcsi Paár and Róbert Lakatos, choreography and direction by Enikő Kocsis and Dezső Fitos, and the captivating dance by the Dezső Fitos Company are bound to be a real treat during the festive season.
