Reactable - Voices Of The Future At Sziget In Budapest
"On 16th August at 11.00 pm, the Hungarian audience will be introduced to the worldwide- known instrument called Reactable for the first time by Marcus Alonso, Sergi Jorda, Günter Geiger and Martin Kaltenbrunner, within the compass of EU-Trio Fókusz venue's afterparty.

The four of them have developed this instrument as students of the famous Pompeu Fabra University, and it has been introduced to the audience two years later at the International Music Conference in Barcelona.

Reactable is highly appreciated among experts involved in developing instruments, and it has gained worldwide fame in 2006, thanks to Youtube: millions of people have seen introductory videos about the instrument on the greatest video-sharing site of the world. One of Iceland's most popular artists, Björk has also discovered the unique instrument, and has adaptad Reactable to 80 concerts of her one-and-a-half-year lasting Volta-tour: the artist playing the instrument was Damian Taylor.

Developers of Reactable, in the meanwhile, have organized more than 150 introductory shows in more than 30 countries, winning several awards with this instrument. In 2007, for example, Rolling Stone magazine has chosen Reactable to be the instrument of the year, winning awards like Prix Ars Electronica Golden Nica for Digital Music, D&AD Yellow Pencil or MIDEM Hottest Music Biz Start-Up Award."
