Hungarian Born György Soros Promoting Cannabis

Soros claims that illegality of cannabis resulted in an increase of petty crimes committed by young people, as the current regulations are non-sense and no one could observe the laws. Thus, many youngsters would have a criminal record because of the failures of legislations.
Moreover, authorities spend enormous amounts for making people observe the meaningless rules. The American businessman thinks that legalizing light drugs would result in a significant decrease not only in the state’s expenditures, but also in the criminal rates of young people.
Another argument of Soros is that drug-dealer crime-organizations would lose power after having introduced the new, observable, and clear system of regulations. As presently young people can buy cannabis more easily than alcohol, for example, legalizing marijuana would not increase the consumption significantly – argues Soros. He also said that instead of pointless rules, appropriate education could prevent further increase of drug use in California.
Polls forecast Californians’ vast majority supporting legalization but the issue will be decided November the 2nd.
