Bronze Age Treasures Found In Szabolcs County In Hungary

"Museologists have hit upon one of the largest bronze treasure troves in the Carpathian basin in the outskirts of Nyíregyháza, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, the director of the Jósa András Museum announced on Wednesday.
A Bronze Age settlement, the remains of a Magyar Conquest-era and a Sarmata cemetery were found along with thousands of historical fragments.
The most significant find was a 56kg bronze cache containing 1,700 jewels, tools and implements.
Restoration of the objects has already begun and several exhibits have been put on display at Nyíregyháza town hall."
