Hungarian Climber Dies In Himalayan Avalanche
Hungarian mountaineer Tibor Horváth died when an ice avalanche swept him away and buried him as he was descending from a 6,800 metre camp in the Himalayas on Saturday, Szabolcs Vincze, press chief for the Annapurna expedition, told Inforádió on Monday. He said there is practically no chance of retrieving his body.

Zsolt Erőss left another camp located at 7,200 meters with an international team Saturday night but decided in favour of returning shortly afterwards.

Vincze said the expedition has ended and Erőss and the others will come home. Weather forecasts are not promising, he said.

Horváth was a seasoned mountaineer and engaged in much mountaineering with Erőss.
