The congestion fee will need to be replaced in the agreement on BKV funding between the cabinet and Budapest, mayor Istvan Tarlos told Inforadio last week. There are several alternatives to make up for the congestion fee, which was thrown out by Parliament last Friday, he said, including reassigning parking fees from Budapest to the district councils and modifying distribution of the local trade tax.
