Geisselmann has been with the InterContinental Hotels Group since 1994. He started his career in the Sales and Marketing Department at the Crowne Plaza Heidelberg, Germany.

In the following years he held various positions in the IHG Company including area roles and hotel opening experience.

From 2006 until 2009 Claus Geisselmann was responsible in the position Area Director of Sales for nine InterContinental Hotels and Resorts in the Central and Eastern European Region.
