Romanians Mistrustful Of Hungary
Some 77% of Romanians “do not trust” or “do not trust at all” in Hungary, according to a recent poll conducted by IRES, the Romanian Association for Evaluation and Strategy. Among respondents 38% view Hungary as a hostile country and 43% consider it as friendly. Fully 35% believe that Romania could lose territory to Hungary, while 62% disagree. However, 59% of respondents consider relations between the two peoples to be good while only 23% view them as bad.

The poll was conducted August 21-24 among 1,541 people. The margin of error is 2.5%.
