Budapest Mayor Tarlos On Metro Difficulties
The eventual opening of Budapest’s fourth metro line depends more on legal rather than technical questions, mayor Istvan Tarlos told M1 TV. Tarlos said legal problems and extra demands have emerged from contracts concluded six to seven years ago, which tend to jeopardise the opening of the metro line.

If the city receives government approval to take care of legal and financial problems and if other legal supportive opinions are available, then disputes can be resolved in the first half of 2013, he said.

The overall cost of the metro project amounts to Ft 452 billion.
