The Hungarian federation last October said it would only grant such a permit in exchange for €150,000.

Federation president Etele Baráth said Janics will continue her career in Hungary and she can join other athletes in training camps in March and can compete in qualification rounds in April.

Dusan Milenkovic, head of the Serbian Kayak-Canoe Federation, expressed shock at the announcement.
