Hungary's MTelekom Gets New Chairwoman
Kerstin Gunther has been appointed as the new chairwoman of Deutsche Telekom’s subsidiary in Hungary, Magyar Telekom. She succeeds Christopher Mattheisen, who will however retain his position of CEO and seat on the board.

This brings Magyar Telekom’s governance structure into line with that of other Deutsche Telekom subsidiaries, where the functions of the chairman and the CEO are separated.

Gunther joined Deutsche Telekom in 1991, working in Hungary until 2001 as head of the government affairs division, and later the large corporate division.

Since March 2012 she has been head of technology in Europe.
