Invitation: Budapest Strings, Palace Of Arts Budapest, 4 May
The goal in each concert of this series of the Budapest Strings is to present works by young Hungarian composers alongside works by well-known classical composers from whom they drew inspiration. The host for the concerts, Endre Tóth, will engage in conversation with the Hungarian composers, thereby providing the audience with an insight into the secrets of the creative process.

As a chamber orchestra, the Budapest Strings attaches particular importance to publicizing and analyzing the works of the participating composers, as bringing contemporary works closer to the audience will enable them to better understand the factors which the composers took into account during the creative process.

The composers themselves will present the classical compositions from the same creative standpoint, a highly interesting approach in that in provides far deeper and more wide-ranging additional information to aid understanding of the works in question.

The classical and contemporary works will be performed alternately, with the intention of rendering the contemporary pieces more easily accessible to the audience.
