Xpat Opinion: Analogue - Exhibition In Kogart House In Budapest
21 Hungarian photographers from the 20th century. It is the big debut of the Körmendi – Csák Photography Collection within the confines of a unique exhibition in the Kogart House situated on Andrássy street. The visitors can get a great insight into the world of Hungarian Photography in the 20th century by looking through over 160 photographs made by 21 amazing artists.

The selection introduces the unique and special point of view of the second half of the 20th century by documentary, avant-garde and other trending art photographs.

The large-scale exhibition came true by the favour of Gábor Kovács Art Foundation and the Körmendi – Csák Collection.

The collection of photographs takes up both floors of the Kogart building allowing the viewer to intimately study not only the art works, but the career of the artists, the background of the pieces, and the whole creative process that lies behind.

The 420 pages long, richly illustrated catalogue, which can be found both in English and Hungarian provides further information about the collection and its history.

The art pieces, that are now being shown in Kogart House, were chosen by the popular photography curator and former director of the Hungarian Museum of Photography Károly Kincses.
