Taxi Regulations Eased In Budapest

Budapest city council eased its planned changes to regulations governing the age of taxi vehicles on Wednesday. Those drivers who had a permit before April 18, when the new regulation was announced, may continue to use their cars until January 15, 2014, regardless of the age of the vehicle.
Cars up to 15 years old may remain in service until June 30, 2015. After that date, all vehicles must comply with the maximum 10-year age requirement.
