Hungarian Government To Prepare Work Program For Women Facing Pension
- 10 Oct 2013 9:00 AM
After 40 years of employment, women in Hungary can retire, but some above the age of 55 and unemployed are unable to reach this limit. The government is setting up a program for them.
According to the Ministry for National Economy publication, the program is primarily for those who are currently unemployed and have less than a year to go before retirement.
The law that says 40 years of working is enough for women to retire has been on the books since 1 January 2001.
State Secretary for Employment Sándor Czomba will give more details on the program later this week.
