Will It Be A White Christmas In Hungary This Year?
Most likely not, the weather will probably stay gloomy through early to mid next week. The entire Carpathian Basin is covered by cold air masses, yet the outcome will not be more than snow flurries in certain areas. The reason for this uneventful weather is that fronts usually responsible for changes in weather seem to be avoiding our area, staying mainly above the coastline of Northern and Western Europe.

Fog will set in during the night and early mornings, and may stay here and there all day, with overcast mornings and afternoons. No snowfall is expected, only drizzle, some of the freezing type, with flurries in some parts.

Central Europe is sitting under a high-pressure air mass (called an anticyclone) that typically causes sunny weather during the summer months and quite often foggy conditions during the winter with one steady characteristic, regardless of season: leaving unchanging weather behind sometimes for weeks.
