Budapest District Told To Compensate Homeless

The Capital Court has ordered 14th District council to apologise in a private letter and pay Ft 500,000 in compensation to each of the six homeless people whose huts were destroyed by the council in October 2011. The ruling is open to appeal.
Former ombudsman Máté Szabó said in a report that the destruction of the huts was arbitrary and unlawful.
