Ambulance System In Hungary To Be Upgraded Using EU Funds

Soon Hungary’s ambulance service will become “more professional and more precise” thanks to the instalment of a state-of-the-art rescue management system paid for using EU funding, the director of the National Ambulance Service told Wednesday’s Népszabadsag daily.
Béla Burány noted that the current system relied on magnet boards, and the new integrated IT system would ensure faster response times. “Nine out of ten times the ambulance will reach patients within 15 minutes,” he said.
