Daily Budapest Heat Record Shattered
Temperatures in Budapest reached a record high for June 10, yesterday, peaking at 36.3C degrees in Újpest.

The national daily record was not broken. The hottest place in Hungary yesterday was Körösszakál, Hajdú county, at 36.5C degrees, just below the 36.7C gauged in Kaposvár on June 10, 1916.
 
Temperatures are expected to be near 33C today.
