Hungarian Golden Team Goalkeeper Grosics Funeral Takes Place Today

The funeral of Golden team goalkeeper Gyula Grosics will be held at St. István Basilica this afternoon. Friends and fans may pay their last respects between noon and 1.45 p.m.
After a funeral that starts at 2 p.m., Grosics will be laid to rest in the crypt of the basilica by the family.
Grosics died on June 13 at the age of 88. He was goalkeeper of the national team on 86 occasions, won a silver medal at the World Cup in 1954 and an Olympic title in Helsinki in 1952.
