Night Of Museums At The New Budapest Gallery, 21 June
- 17 Jun 2014 5:00 AM
6 pm – 7 pm
Concert of the Csajka Band
Csajka is a genuine leisure band. A harmonious love load. You can only get nourishment from Csajka, and in the meantime you’re laughing out loud.
8 pm – 9 pm
Concert of Zsuzsi Ujj and Kristóf Darvas
Instead of the rock and roll of Csókolom this line-up is much more puritan and intimate, where the texts strike you to the core… Bittersweet fatal-chanson.
4 pm – 10 pm
If you could be an art patron, what works would you choose?
During the Long Night of Museums at the exhibition Budapest, Patron City of the Arts, anyone can choose which works of art they would like to see in their own collection, thereby selecting which artist they would like to promote. The results of these anonymous votes will be posted on the New Budapest Gallery’s Facebook page.
The exhibition entitled Budapest, Patron City of the Arts offers a comprehensive, yet simultaneously a unique picture of the Hungarian art of the past century-and-a-half. Works by – among others – Miklós Barabás, Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka, Mihály Munkácsy, László Mednyánszky, Pál Szinyei Merse, József Rippl-Rónai, Károly Ferenczy, Béla Czóbel, József Egry, Gyula Derkovits, Imre Ámos, Margit Anna, Jenő Barcsay, Dezső Korniss, Lili Ország, Tihamér Gyarmathy, Imre Bak, Ákos Birkás, Imre Bukta, Tibor Csernus, László Fehér, Ilona Keserü, Béla Kondor, László Lakner, Dóra Maurer, István Nádler and Erzsébet Vojnich are on display.
