Hungarian Banks Disburse HUF 238.7bn In Funding For Growth Scheme

Of this amount, credit institutions have so far disbursed 238.7 billion forints to small and medium-sized enterprises participating in the scheme, up from 183.7 billion forints disbursed by the end of June.
New loans up to the first day of August accounted for more than 98% of the contracted 295.2 billion forints, just like up to the end of June. The average amount of new investment loans is 24 million forints, that of new working capital loans is 56 million forints, while in the case of EU loans the average size is 37 million forints.
The NBH has initially made available 500 billion forints in the second phase of the scheme, which runs from last October till the end of 2014.
The NBH made 750 billion forints of zero-percent refinancing available to lenders in the first phase of the scheme in June-September last year, with takeup of 701 billion forints.
Under the scheme launched in June 2013 the NBH provides zero-interest refinancing to banks which they can lend to SMEs at an APR not exceeding 2.5%.
