Hungarian Companies Develop Drug Recommendation Appliance
Two Hungarian companies are involved in developing a speech recognition appliance for pharmacies that will automatically display available non-prescription drugs to customers on a computer screen based on the symptoms they communicate, the project’s coordinator G-Management told MTI in a statement.

The appliance to be developed with a 202 million forint (EUR 645,000) grant from the European Union is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2015, the statement said.

The system is then planned to be set up in 1,500 pharmacies throughout Hungary in two years’ time, it added.

The project consortium also includes ThinkTech Nonprofit Kft and the Budapest University of Technology’s Department of Telecommunications and Media Informatics.
