Personal Lending In Hungary At Five-Year Record High

The average amount of personal loans signed over the past few months exceeds one million forints (EUR 3,205) per loan and personal lending has reached a five-year record high, daily Magyar Hírlap said, citing data from Magyar Cetelem Bank.
In May alone personal loans signed amounted to 11 billion forints, and the rise in turnover is significant, central bank data show.
For example, at K&H Bank, the average amount lent rose by 20% and the most common lending period was four months. Personal loans are usually taken out for home renovations, car purchases or longplanned expenditures.Ű
