New Pier Built At Parliament In Budapest
- 16 Oct 2014 9:00 AM
A new pier has been built on the Danube at the Parliament building after the Budapest Transport Centre received a surprising but emphatic request “from upstairs” that a landing place be built, Népszabadság reports.
An existing dock on the other side of the Danube, used by the BKV, has been upgraded.
The BKK told Népszabadság that the aim is to allow boats to approach popular tourist sights. The pier was opened to the public on Wednesday.
