Govt Invests Eur 2.6m In Multifunctional Cardiovascular Operating Theatre
The government is providing 806 million forints (EUR 2.62m) to the Budapest Városmajor cardiovascular clinic to set up a multifunctional “hybrid” operating theatre.

The new facility will allow any type of cardiovascular surgical treatment or catheterization procedure to be performed without moving the patient, Béla Merkely, the clinic’s director, said.

Combined imaging technologies such as ultra-sound and MRs will allow high-precision cardiovascular surgery, which will be carried out seven days a week, meaning some 1,000 treatment per year.
