- 23 Jan 2015 8:00 AM
Players with Ferencváros football club FTC and activists of the Ecumenical Aid Organisation handed out 500 hot meals to the needy in a working tent set up outside the team’s Groupama Arena on Thursday.
Team members Zoltán Gera and Tamás Hajnal, as well as FTC coach Thomas Doll, were among those taking part.
The beneficiaries were primarily homeless people, those with small pensions and the unemployed, said Ákos Nagy of the Ecumenical Aid Organisation.
The organisation and FTC are continuing a clothes distribution campaign that they began before Christmas.
