Hungarian VAT Fraud Site Still Operating
The central organiser of the fraud scam that evaded VAT payments by falsely claiming to have exported electronics appliances to Slovakia was Hódmezõvásárhely-based Bravotech, Népszabadság reports. The company is the owner of Electro-Quality, Bemutatoterem.net, Ármátrix and Expert Magyarország.

The electronic home appliance selling website expertelektro.hu, through which many of the goods were sold, was still working on Tuesday, although the tax authority NAV had seized its stocks, Népszabadság writes.

The related bemutatoterem.net website was no longer accessible.

Consumers who have paid in advance will probably lose their money, because the Ft 3 billion worth of assets seized will not cover the Ft 22 billion of VAT payable on the Ft 81 billion turnover, Népszabadság estimates.
