Lázár Proposes Micro - Census In 2016 In Hungary
Hungary could hold a “microcensus”, a survey conducted on 10% of all households in October next year, if parliament adopts a motion submitted by cabinet chief János Lázár.

According to Lázár’s proposal, the survey, conducted at halftime between the last full census in 2011 and the next in 2021, would identify changes in the past five years and ensure reliable and timely figures to support future decisions.

The proposed survey would provide an overview of all homes in Hungary, whether empty or occupied, the people living in those homes, as well as people at community shelters and Hungarians staying temporarily in other countries, and foreign nationals residing in the surveyed homes or community institutions.
