- 25 Aug 2015 9:00 AM
About 600 people had to temporarily leave their homes in the Second District yesterday after construction workers found a Soviet shrapnel grenade on Széll Kálmán tér. The square was evacuated and sealed off in a 150-metre radius while the ignition device was examined. The district council directed those who had to evacuate their homes to the Mammut shopping mall and the II. Rákóczi Ferenc high school.
Residents were allowed to return to their homes after the ignition device was destroyed.
