Hungary’s President Scorns Climate Change Deniers At Church Conference
Hungary’s President János Áder met church leaders in parliament on Tuesday for a conference to discuss climate change and environmental concerns. He said denying climate change, feeling apathy on the subject and believing the market was almighty were all fallacies. He asked church dignitaries to share the imperative of saving the Earth in their religious communities, in the spirit of an encyclical letter from Pope Francis, which calls attention to shared global problems and the need for solidarity.

“Preventing an ecological disaster and stopping climate change is not about protecting a few species, as sceptics would like us to see it, but about saving humanity,” he said.
