Hungary’s PM: West On The Wane

The West’s military dominance is also expiring and “the export of democracy has come to an end, a course in global politics based on the export of human rights”, he added.
Europe suffers from even greater problems than America and the European economy is in a state of “sclerosis”, Orbán said, adding that were it not for central Europe, the European Union’s economy would be shrinking.
Orbán said the success of reforms in Hungary is not doubted even in such “bright-eyed” places as Brussels.
He reiterated that the Hungarian government does not support the notion of a “United States of Europe” and instead belongs to the camp that considers the EU an alliance of nations.
He called for the root-andbranch reform of the EU, adding that the migrant crisis had revealed the necessity for doing so.
He proposed that central Europe, being the economic engine of the bloc, should prepare joint recommendations for the EU’s reform.
“We need a democratic era instead of a liberal era” because people disagree with the liberal politics that currently hold sway in Europe, he added.
