CSOK Expanded For Existing Homes
Conditions for families applying for the home purchase subsidy CSOK to buy existing homes have been eased, communications state secretary Bence Tuzson announced on Sunday. Regional differentiations have been abolished, making conditions the same across the country.

In addition, public works employees will also be eligible for the financial assistance.

The government has set minimum space requirements for the homes purchased of 40m2 if the family has one child, 50m2 for two, 60m2 for three and 70m2 for those families with four children.

The subsidy will not be dependent on the size of the home purchased, and the earlier planned Ft 350,000 per square metre price ceiling has been abolished.

The subsidies for buying existing homes will be Ft 600,000 for one-child families, Ft 1.4 million for two children, Ft 2.2 million for three children and Ft 2.75 million for families with four children.

Families who received child-related home purchase subsidies in the past can apply for this new funding if they have additional children. They will receive the difference between the old and the new subsidy.
