See What Happened @ St Andrew's Ball
For some time now the St Andrews Ball has been gathering pace. Not so long ago only a handful gathered to celebrate Scotland’s national day. Now, thanks to some hard work and charm, Duncan Graham has gathered the masses together for another, hugely successful bash at the Marriott Hotel on Saturday.

Guest speaker the British Ambassador to Hungary Iain Lindsay OBE (pictured below) added his own warmth to proceedings.

"It was a wonderful celebration of St Andrews Day. Everybody seemed to have a ball (no pun intended!). As a Scot I particularly enjoyed the Scottish elements such as the dancing. Huge credit to Duncan Graham, his helpers and ball sponsors for putting on a great show!" Ambassador Lindsay told XpatLoop.com after the event.

And there was wine, beer and whisky of course to go along with a gala dinner to get things going, not that it needed it.

Entertainment provided by the delightful Morag Paterson, who showed us some wonderful Scottish dancing, music by Babel Rock. Later on there was a tombola and live auction, with all proceeds going to a worthwhile children’s charity.

The evening was complete with some highland dancing, which didn’t need any audience persuasion, they were on the dance floor faster than you can say ”Lang may yer lum reek ”. This was true testament to what a wonderful evening everyone was having and to the ever growing celebration of St Andrews Day here in Budapest.
