Hungary’s Guest Nights Jump 16.4 Pc In November

The number of guest nights at commercial accommodations in Hungary jumped an annual 16.4 percent to 1,787,000 in November 2016, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Monday show. Guest nights spent by Hungarian tourists were up by 16.3 percent at 887,000. KSH said the increase was due to a long weekend in November.
Guest nights spent by foreign visitors rose by 16.5 percent to 900,000.
In the case of foreign visitors, the increase was due to a low base related to the migrant crisis, with guest nights at Budapest hotels up by 24 percent, KSH said.
Revenue by commercial accommodations increased by 16.7 percent to 30.0 billion forints (EUR 98m).
