Budapest Transport Workers To Receive Average 15% Wage Hike

Drivers will be given a pay rise between 13 and 23% so that they will make at least net monthly 200,000 forints, he said. On another subject, Tarlós proposed that a “brutally high” fine of 50,000 forints for traffic code violations such as taking an irregular turn should be halved.
He argued that “much smaller fines are levied for more serious violations”. He added that the city had had a traffic camera removed from a junction in the third district, which had been illegitimately installed and whose photos had been used by the public areas authority to levy such fines.
He added that the city would supervise all public area cameras in the city.
